Friday Five: January 2018

Hello & happy Friday!

This school week was only four days, which was helpful for easing into the second semester, but it sure felt long. You can bet I'll be soaking up every last minute of this weekend before our first full week commences on Monday! Beginning with today's post, I've decided to introduce a little weekly series to collect my five favorite finds of the week. Let me know what you think!

I've had the soundtrack from The Greatest Showman on repeat all week long. Though it's hard to choose just one, I think Keala Settle's This is Me is my favorite. I highly recommend going to see the movie or, at the very least, listening to the soundtrack (though it'll probably make you want to watch the movie).

Attention, college students! If you need motivation to get more sleep, just watch this video. It scared me into finally setting a bedtime and sticking to it (most nights)!

I had this winter salad at a friend's house just before heading back to school and thought it was too good not to share. It's jam-packed with all sorts of festive foods--butternut squash, cranberries, pumpkin seeds--and flavor! Wouldn't this be the most beautiful dish for a Thanksgiving dinner?

I might be the last person to try this rosewater facial spray, but now I totally get the hype! It smells like a garden of roses and is such a refreshing midday pick-me-up.

Now that the holidays have finally settled down and school and work are in full swing again, life can feel especially busy, stressful, and overwhelming. Take a few minutes out of your day to practice one of these six simple ideas for self-care.

Enjoy your weekend!
