A Day-to-Night Outfit

For the past six weeks, I've been taking two summer classes at a local university. The classes only last four hours a day, which means I've had the rest of my days free to do whatever I need or want. While it's made for a flexible schedule, it's also required me to dress in a way that works for class in the morning and for whatever I'm doing after. I think I've finally mastered the idea of a day-to-night look and want to share my results with you!

Day

I used my chambray jumpsuit as the basis of these outfits and simply switched out my accessories to completely transform one outfit into another.

I turned my jumpsuit into a pants look by throwing a tie-front shirt on top of it. Then, I kept the look casual and comfortable with slide sandals, a roomy straw tote, my everyday watch, and tortoiseshell hoop earrings.

It's a cute yet easy look for class, a coffee date, or a trip to the farmer's market.

Night

For my night look, I switched things up by removing the shirt and swapping out my accessories. I slipped into an old pair of Old Navy block heels (similar) and grabbed my wicker crossbody bag. Unfortunately, my bag has already sold out, but there are plenty of similar options available elsewhere.

As for jewelry, I substituted my tortoiseshell hoops for gold ones and my watch for a gold cuff. I also tied a floral bandana around my neck to add a little pop of pattern to an otherwise simple set.

I think this look would be perfect for a casual dinner date, a show, or shopping with a friend.
