Bedroom Organization Solutions

Not surprisingly, I brought way too many things to school this year. Unpacking it all took me much longer than it should've because it forced me to clean out at the same time. Although it was a pain in the process, now I'm glad I took the time to do it because an organized room makes for a happy MK! My organization solutions are always evolving as I acquire new things and get rid of others, so I thought I'd share the ones I recently developed.

Drop Zone | Keep a tray by your phone charger for a place to drop your phone, keys, chapstick, and anything else you might need on the go. You won't have to scramble to find anything when you're headed out the door!

Bedside Table | A tray, box, or bowl on your bedside table corrals loose items you might want nearby. My dish holds chapstick, hand lotion, and a pen for journaling, while my box catches any jewelry I'm wearing before I go to sleep.

Desk | A tray is a simple solution to desk clutter. This one is large enough to hold papers, but also collects other desk materials, such as a stapler and tape dispenser. A glass jar or canister can store anything from encouraging notes (as mine does) to stray chargers and cords.

Miscellaneous Items | A large basket or trunk keeps spare blankets or off-season clothes out of sight but still easily accessible. Plus, it doubles as extra seating!

Accessories | Place a glass box on your dresser to display your favorite sunglasses or jewelry.

More Accessories | Mount a peg board with hooks on your wall to hang bags, belts, scarves, and hats. It can easily be adjusted to accommodate your changing needs.

Daily Makeup | Set a cup on your vanity or bathroom counter for easy access to your most-used makeup products. A pencil cup or engraved mint julep cup make for a pretty addition to any space!

Happy organizing!
