Farmer's Market Fab

Last weekend, I visited a local farmer's market with two of my close friends. We strolled around, tasted fresh food, and enjoyed the beautiful summer weather. I styled this outfit for the occasion to allow me to beat the Florida heat while still looking my best.

For this outfit, I started with some wardrobe basics (and favorites), including a white camichambray shorts, and gold sandals. I knew I wanted to accessorize with some bold pieces, so I kept my base simple. The best part is that I've had these staples for years but can make them look new with just a change of accessories!

My oversized pink sunnies were a necessity for this bright Saturday afternoon. I tend to buy inexpensive pairs from J. Crew Factory or Loft for a fun and easy addition to any outfit that won't break the bank. Plus, I won't be devastated if they get scratched or lost as mine tend to.

Scarves are my favorite accessory of the season, and I especially liked wearing this one around my neck to mimic the tie on my shorts. Again, they're an inexpensive way to spice up an otherwise boring outfit. I also like to wear them in my hair for a ponytail upgrade. I just love how chic they make me feel!

This cuff bracelet is one of my most-worn pieces of jewelry because it's just so dang fun! I consistently get lots of compliments on it (and also lots of questions about what it is--a wink!). The straw tote was a gift, and I adore its size and shape--perfect for carrying fresh produce home from the market!

Thanks to my boyfriend for these photos! Can you believe this was his first time behind a camera?
