The Ultimate College Packing List

I know from experience how daunting it can be to pack for college, especially if you, like me, have to ship it all to another state. Last year, I tackled this challenge in the most MK way I knew how: with a color-coded, categorized packing list. I compiled this list on a Google Doc and shared it with my soon-to-be roommate so she could add to it and cross off items when she purchased them. Any potential confusion regarding our shared items was prevented by coloring them based on who was bringing what.

For those of you who are headed to college this fall, I've recreated my checklist as a PDF and a Google Doc if you want to print it or share it with your roommate.

I hope this helps you liked it helped me! Is there anything you'd add to my list?

  3. Most high school graduates go to college today, whereas years back it wasn't the common thing to do. Going to college seems like it's just the common thing to do these days.עורך דין תעבורה

  4. I'm excited as I have travel plans on the horizon - I am going to LA for the first time! Even though I hate packing my clothes and shoes etc, I actually like packing my toiletries so I am always on the look out for the perfect toiletries bag / wash bag / whatever you want to call it.

  5. An awesome list there. I have to say that I learned about carrying some of the things the hard way, like a torch of some kind is so important for the reasons you gave and definitely slippers for the bathroom. Ear plus are another essential item and eye mask I can usually do without. I would add headphones to the list, to listen to music or else just while being on the phone is a lit more private.Packing Company

  13. My husband is getting a motorcycle. Thanks for the advice about how you can use a parking disc or small piece of wood to prevent your bike from sinking and possible tipping. I think another great idea would be to make sure that when parking in a stall you are far enough out so that a car doesn’t accidentally.
