Eleuthera Recap

As I've mentioned quite a few times already, my family vacation this year was to the Bahamas, specifically the island of Eleuthera. Eleuthera is a quirky place; in fact, we saw cars with bumper stickers rightfully proclaiming that "Eleuthera isn't for everyone." It's still very natural and for the most part undeveloped, so its residents live simply. That's primarily why Eleuthera is such a lovely vacation destination though. The raw beauty of its countless beaches and clear waters is unparalleled, and you never know when you'll stumble upon the prettiest beach you've ever seen!

We rented an incredible house called Heart's Ease, which was on the beach and only a couple minutes from the town of Governor's Harbour. Since our trip was slightly untraditional, I've created a photo diary instead of using my typical travel recap post format. Read on to see the things we did!

swam in the crystal clear ocean behind our house

beach-combed

drift-snorkeled and kayaked with a guide

walked on the pink sands (often to the pool bar at the resort next-door)

sailed with a guide

read (and napped)

watched the sunset over the ocean

talked my boy into taking pictures on the beach

and swam some more in the beautiful blue waters

Did you go anywhere fun this summer?
